Effective January 1, 2025, the UFT Welfare Fund optical benefit has increased in amount and frequency.
The maximum claimable amount is now $250 (formerly $175)
The benefit is now available yearly (formerly every 2 years), counted from the date of service on the patient’s last paid claim.
Any services rendered prior to January 1, 2025, will be reimbursed based on the $175 maximum rate.
